Is OcuSync DJI-only? Do other manufacturers offer similar connectivity performance?

DJi use their ‘Occusync’ signal connectivity, which is noticeably superior in performance to wi-fi as used on other makes and older DJI drones. Do any other makes offer any system of similar performance to Occusync? If not, having had experience of wi-fi drone control, it would make me very reluctant to buy any drone not made by DJI, irrespactive of price or features, unless somebody came up with a quantum improvement in wi-fi performance!

Not that I’m in any rush to replace my Mini 4K which is working fine and satisfies (nearly) all my needs. I also still have my wi-fi connected Mavic Mini, which I haven’t used for several months but is worth hanging on to for use with Maven.

I think they all do?

Autel can provide you a range of up to 9km, Skydio offer around 6km, other brands are also available.

No, DJI is not the only company that utilizes OcuSync technology. While DJI has popularized OcuSync, other companies and systems have developed similar technologies for drone video transmission. For example, [DroneBridge] is designed as an alternative to DJI’s Lightbridge and OcuSync. OcuSync itself is a proprietary technology developed by DJI, but the concept of long-range, high-definition video transmission with a reliable link is not exclusive to them,

Thanks, gentlemen, now I know!

Get yourself something newer the latest versions of Occusync are a massive improvement
