Hi Andrew anyone advise me if a mavic mini Dji fly app will work with an Amazon fire tablet - there are a few bargains in the Amazon sale…thanks…ian
No pretty sure it won’t, I believe the fire tabs are only 32bit, and DJI Fly needs 64bit
Unless they have significantly improved spec wise, then I wouldn’t even attempt it.
Thanks for the advice, I will keep look out for an used iPad mini, I have an iPad Air 4, that I have used, but I don’t want to risk damaging it…ian
Not sure how you could damage it, using it with a Mavic Mini any more than with normal daily use… But anyway give Music Magpie a try, it’s where I got my second hand smartphone for use wit the Mini 2… Can find some very good deals on there
If you get a iPad mini get one with WiFi and sim as only the sim version have the gps . Try CEX they often have them and most come with 2 year warranty
Thanks for your advice…ian
If you’re not averse to Android then I believe the Huawei tablets do a reasonable job. I think we have a few members that use those. I have tested it out with mine (MediaPad T3 10) briefly but ultimately it was too big and bulky to be faffed with most of the time, so I don’t have extensive experience.
Hi thanks for the reply, there is an eight inch Hussain tablet using. Android 11 for about £59, I might give one of those a try…thanks…ian
Wouldn’t get the Sadam tablet
What about a Nasser tablet?
My mini 5 works well and so does the gps
I just remember when I bought my mini 5 I contacted Apple about the GPS and they said only the WiFi and sim have actual GPS the WiFi only has something like it ( cannot remember what ) but to get GPS you need the sim model, I only have a free and unregistered SIM card in so it costs me nothing but the SIM card switches on the GPS . My compass and map are absolutely spot on with both mini 5s
Thanks for all the replies
