Is this to good to be true?

I’m a Prime subscriber so I tend to only do that anyway.

But yes, very valid point Garry :+1:t2:

I’d imagine they just used the same spoof email phishing method they use on eBay accounts - If they send a million spoof emails out they’re gonna get lucky on a good handful of them

I hope Amazon do something about the negative feedback if they genuinely were hacked.

That would kill a small business.

Sure would

I know you need to me more vigilant these days, but I still feel kinda sorry for them.

Yeah same here.

I’ve got 2 step authentication enabled on Amazon and any other site that supports it. Can be a pain in the arse but seeing things like this makes it a no brainer.

I to am a Prime member, and, only buy from Amazon only if it is forefilled by them.
Never had a problem with any purchase.
It’s a case of doing your research before you part with your hard earned.

I am also Prime Member the Mavic was also on Prime at £400, Amazon confirmed that this Genuine (twice by 2 different CS reps) I pointed out the fact that this was suspicious they still assured me that I had nothing to worry about based on this I purchased on Amazon Prime and took a gamble as I had £400 on my gift card knowing that it was guaranteed refund from Amazon, so as @chrisjohnbaker say’s It’s a case of research but on this occasion it was not thorough enough on the other hand if this had been genuine I would of been gutted anyway something different to talk about other than GtK and B***T

I’ve done this before. sometimes I’ve won big… sometimes the credit card company or Paypal refunded me… never lost yet!

I always recommend for risky buys that you pay for them using a credit card (not credit card through Paypal). Credit cards are protected by the consumer credit act. Bank cards are not protected. Paypal has buyer protection, however is not always as easy to deal with when asking for money back. Credit card companies generally do most of the hard work for you.
