Isle of Lewis

I’ve been to Lewis a few times now and always seem to get lucky with the weather.

It’s usually a bit breezy but the ability of the Mavic 2 to cope with 20mph+ is astounding.

I got a bit low over the sea in one shot, so climbed and nearly hit a flock of geese!

Firstly - stunning colours!
Secondly - stunning colours!

Beautifully sharp! :+1:

Yeah - if you’d had leg extenders on I think the geese would have been spared their formation flying being disturbed! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

looks stunning Kevin
if that was the wife she didn’t look to happy on the beach bit windy by the looks of things

Mavic 2 I presume

Very professional but looking at your bio that’s to be expected

Thanks :+1:

Shona was fine on the beach… for about seven minutes!

The Mavic 2, hardware and software, never cease to amaze me. Just increadible.

It’s hard to imagine how much better the airframes can get. Be nice to see the cameras get better and better though.

Lovely footage Kevin. Is that the Pro or the zoom?

The circling shot at around 1:30. Did you do that manually or was it an automatic manoevre?

Thanks v much. The scenery is just overwhelmingly perfect for droning.
It’s the Pro.
The beach circle is using active track with the slider slightly to one side.
The airframe, radio link and software are all absolutely remarkable.

Brilliant video, did you use any particular intelligent flight mode?
Looking forward to flying my new toy on Harris and Lewis soon.

Thanks. :relaxed:
The beach shot and the dog walking were active track.
Wish I’d had a bit more of a plan. It was getting late in the day and the wind was unexpectedly dropping to flyable levels so I hadn’t really anticipated flying and hence thought through the shots I wanted to get.
I only ever go to Lewis for a day or two at a time. Wish I still had my camper van, it would be awesome.

Kevin
