It hasn’t been scrapped as such but it did seem to be a disproportionate amount of effort for someone to give up every Saturday evening (they run the RTF as well) when only three or four people seemed to show any interest.
And eight or nine voters. Always seem to be more voters than participants. Which is why the next competition might be for everyone to put their names down and the popular vote picks the person who is that weeks designated photographer and is allowed to create the image.
If there is a great resurgence of interest we may revive it. But don’t hold your breath …
