‘what happened to the furry friend that was here a second ago?’

@Challenges_Committee
What is your definition of small?
Not large.
Remeber it isn’t us you need to please in the competition, it is your peers. As long as you remain within the rules we won’tintervene.
Next someone will ask us to define “furry” [sigh]
Should I submit the alpaca that’s in focus, or the wed squiwel that is slightly out of focus?

Mine were a wee bit more drookit

My entry
Taken 31st Dec on a Nikon D5300 with a 75-300 DX lens at 300 end (450mm), around 12:15
Location was inside Meiklour Woods near Blairgowrie. It’s a bit out of focus, it was pretty dark in the woods and this was shot at ISO 6400. The Autofocus just didn’t want to work today

Red-shouldered hawk today found a small furry animal!
I am quite sure it was merely a play date!

Naw, the beaver had to do an emergency call out. Plus it told me to fuck off, in no uncertain terms!!!

And the winner is …
A squirrel!
But which colour?
The grey has triumphed over the red in the competition, as in real life.
Congratulations to Nigel -. @Stomper for capturing this shot:
and thank you to those who braved the elements (or stayed in their bathroom!) to catch a selection of small furry animals
