So what is IWitCH? It’s the GADC non-drone photo competition.
Very occasionally in the UK there are days when it is too windy, foggy or wet to fly our aircraft Most of us carry a mobile phone which is perfectly adequate for taking decent pictures. Or you may prefer a DSLR, a compact, an action camera or a mirrorless. this is your chance to use them!

This old metal triangular milepost is imprinted on the top with “Cheshire County Council 1896”. On the opposite side it states that Congleton is 1 and 3/4 miles away.
It’s part of the original network of milepost markers following the A34 from Manchester to Southampton. This particular one is section 2, Wilmslow to Congleton, 22.9 (miles from Manchester I think…) - with the start point being Manchester St Ann’s Sq.
More info if anyone is interested can be found here (only learnt all this myself tonight from some ‘Googling’ research ):
We now need to select a winner from our seven plucky entrants. You can vote for up to three imagesThe poll is open until 22:00 on Monday September 23rd:
In third place, with four out of twelve ringing up the votes is a familiar name - Jim aka @Kings with an old phone found in Next:
And next, in second place with eight out of twelve going the extra mile to vote for his picture is a newcomer - Danyy alias @0danny with a miles marker close to his home:
Which leaves our winner cashing in with eleven out of twelve cats voters preferring it, a holidaying Jason - @TheBinman with a battered Turkish till:
Which wraps up this round of IWitCH and just leaves us to say well done and thank you to everyone who entered, try again in the current round Tombstones, and congratulations to our three winners!
