Great video, we were there in Oct, just a question on copyright, every time I try to use a piece of commercial music it is flagged by YouTube, what am I doing wrong or is that a bought piece?
I normally end up using free PD pieces
I never get pulled by youtube dont know why.
Hi i have read that youtube dont do much until you start getting money for your videos, I did do a video with thomas the tank engine and did say that in certain locations there will be no sound. But also used on the buses, which got flagged but ok to use. I doubt that major record companies will sue, in fact people might hear the song and buy the album (retro)

Ive never made money i belive that the way i add the audio the music revenue goes to the music writers and not me, or if i get the nimber of viewer’s needed it will still go to the copywriters and not me
I think that you get money through ads, and if you use copyright music, they give you strikes, then ban your account from youtube, but i have no experience in making money on youtube, but i guess you can use mikey mouse aslong as its from steam boat willy on videos now since it is out of copyright

I did a video once of me playing my keyboard. ( cover of a 60’s song) Got a warning from YT about infringing some copyright or other ,even though it sounded nothing like the original ( recognisable, but a completely different arrangement )
Great footage @jaybee. I hope this doesn’t sound like policing but I’m curious where you take off from in the centre? The areas I know seem too busy or are owned by the council. I’d like to find somewhere central to fly from.
edit: I’ve heard bad stories from YouTube about copyright. There was an independent artist a few years ago who had his music stolen and then used to copyright strike against him
Toal at ncp carpark .EDC cant stop sub250g drones, they may have a policy but it doesnt hold water. Oh btw NCP carpark is private land .
Ive been flying drones for 9 yrs and uploading to youtube with music .never had a problem. I dont make money from youtube videos , and the music owners still get there copywright fees ,as i dont have a paid chn, us i believe you have to make arrangement with youtube.
Thanks, that’s good to know. I know they can’t do much about the air space but I’d like to avoid being on their land when toal as I’m quite new and don’t want to be one of the newbies presenting a bad image of the hobby

You should ask the landowner really for permission if yiu want to be truly legal
Would you like me coming and taking off in your back garden (as an extreme but it’s the same thing)
