On the way back home from Thorpe Abbotts as I still had 30% left in the fat battery I thought I’d have a quick 5 minute stop as they were closed.

I was at an airshow at Wolverhampton in the mid 60’s, where a (I think) US Navy F8 Crusader did a low supersonic pass, don’t think I’m over it yet!

I was at Honington in the early 90s doing a weekend shift as there was a display on somewhere or other and 45 Sqn was involved. One of the display Tornados had a snag on taxi and had to return to the pan, by the time we had got the crew out & into the handy dandy spare the rest had long since taken off and they were playing catch up. Took off, done a circuit & then did a beat up of the pan probably about M 0.9 to catch up with the rest of the squadron.
F*ck me sideways. That was loud.
