Have you got yourse yet Ziceman? I actually got 2 pairs and am selling the second unopened set for £200 as a gadc member deal
I’ve just posted on the drones & accessories for sale page
Thanks Ian for thinking of me ![]()
I probably got them quicker and cheaper from you ![]()
You were spot on about there restock and they have been since 25th of march on the slow boat from china and arrive Wednesday if lucky.
Shame it’s taken so long, but worth the wait; great kit ![]()
Actually Ian it was not
because it got me off my arse and really put my xreal to the test sussing out it’s full capabilities before the rayneo arrives.
I only used AR glasses for RC2 and with the xbeam pro both capable to handle without any problems, did not have a phone that had DP so decided to buy one recently when looking into the Rayneo. I managed to get it started up but realised it was switching on wireless DEX not wired DEX but got it sorted eventually still some niggles like xreal nebula app is few year out of date on playstore so not working on the S26, whats strange as the android based xbeam pro got a recent fantastic update. Need a working nebula on the S26 to get the full potential out of the glasses, saying that I hoping Rayneo be more compatible with there app as if the glasses are great I would be more willing to carry these everywhere with me at that cheap price as the xreal kit cost me around £700 and I treat them with kid gloves and always nervous when carrying them around.
started testing with handheld gaming machines like the switch, I soon become to realise that what you see advertised is not as simple as they make out
not working plug-and-play, I googled I even used Copilot and said my problem was that I needed a display cable, so bought a expensive cable to find it still didn’t work,
stupid me I bought and never used in my xreal kit a wee hub
plugged it in wires everywhere and with a wall charger connected still not working, just by pure luck I removed the joy cons and bingo glasses turned on so it must have activated HUB mode
but now it’s working but not really portable as unlike the RC2 it needs it’s own continuous power like a wall charger, so a slim Anker 20,000mAh power bank velcro to the back of the switch plugged into the wee hub and the glasses works perfectly, only thing to consider until I figure out how that this all needs to be sitting on your lap or table as leaving it in a bag or a coat pocket and just glasses and games controller visible just won’t work as heating issues and a additional fan could work but more modifications would be needed. Be great for the wee grandchild in the car or need peace from him ![]()
So basically what’s I’ve managed to do is suss out what works and what does not with the simplicity as little and small untidy gear needed before the Rayneo glasses arrives.
I recall you bought a Sammy 26 ultra? Love mine. I’m glad you’re going everything sorted ![]()
Arrived today and tested it out and it’s a lovely bit of kit.
Works with the phone extended and mirrored, the app has basic essentials which I need to investigate and uses the phone as a pointer and spatial features only work in the app not outside it, mirrored will be the settings to watch any streaming apps or other stuff on the glasses.
No problems with using with laptops or gaming devices.
Great with the RC2.
Tested and definitely does not operate like the xreal, you need a spotter for this as unlike the xreal, the FOV is restricted switching dim off to clear view with brightness turned down while fly app running, I found the app not clear viewing as it’s dull due to adjusting brightness, to combine peripheral viewing it seems still bad as it has a polarised yellow/orange tint so not have the crystal view, but if your switch the dimming down to dark and brightness up it’s perfect amazing viewing crystal clear fly app, spotter would be needed if your a good boy ![]()

Rayneo Pocket TV probably be good addition to maximise the glasses spatial features, but be aware that they’ve not had a updated since April 2024 and Netflix not loaded but there is a workaround by just sideloading apps you like. Did test with xbeam pro it does work but mirroring only as it’s built for the xreal glasses running nebula.
As I have xreal air 2 pro and xbeam pro the combination is fantastic with superior spatial app performance, and enabling a “dual-app” multitasking environment, my phone would be powerful enough but nebula app is not compatible ATM the xbeam pro brought a new update and made it even better.
My xreal fov has the highest ppd, everything look crystal clear from the user’s POV, both display and FOV are crystal clear and no tint, Dynamic Dimmer makes it feels like looking through clear glass which amazing how that works when you visible look at them looking like sunglasses.
I will keep on using the xreal glasses and pass these onto my wee grandson for his drone and switch.

One of the things I am kind of keen to use them for is working on a laptop outside and not have to worry about the glare off the screen - these will be perfect for that.
I don’t really need them but man this post has given me major FOMO and the rave reviews by Ian and others here and on YouTube does make it seem they are worth it and there is loads of reason to use them - not just for drone use.
One thing you will struggle with outside is reflection from below, especially if you are wearing light clothing or have a light ground beneath you. I find that when sitting down especially, it’s difficult.
I have seen some 3D-printed shades that can slide under the glasses, but this is for the older model: RayNeo Air 3S and 3S Pro Reflection Blocker by Rooballoo - Thingiverse
I’ve also seen some on Amazon that have suction cups that stick to the front of the glasses and have shades underneath, but again they state the older model.
The solution here may be as simple as standing up (so that your clothes are not ‘in the line of fire’) and ensuring that the area/clothing beneath the glasses are darker. I tried using mine with my laptop over the weekend outside and simply couldn’t see the bottom half of the screen.
Or ditch the tight white tee for a black one ;o)
Lucky I have very very few light colour clothing as I am such a child when it comes to food haha but thanks for the heads up Martin
Haha!
White I can carry off. Tight is another matter!
A friend who wanted to order has just told me that the deal I got has gone !
So the best option now is to go with Ian in London’s promo code
Do what I do be a naturist and your will be
brown all year round no reflections ![]()

My grandson loves them, need to get him something to clip onto the arms to keep tight on head as arms to long for him.
