Now that is a great idea. I hadn’t thought of that!
I know there is one on the A46 out of Cheltenham.
Private use and good space, and you can practice as much as you like? Also, you may need to take something as a landing pad; the grass may be a bit wet and muddy.
Hi @YellowHound and welcome to the group
Hello. Do you go there regularly? If so how is it now that it is raining? I need to complete my 4hrs flight time pronto for my A2 C and C.
What you can do for your hours is hire a dog field; they are cheap. I used a few around Gloucester.
Thank you for the suggestion. Can you give me the postcode for these places or a number to call? I am not from here so I don’t know where they are or how to go about it. I appreciate the help.
Bear with me I will find some and send through to you
Thank you much appreciated. I was about abandoning the whole thing because of the 4hrs of flying stipulation to get my A2 C and C.
Here you go.
This is a search of the fields in Gloucester area
It’s saying ‘site can’t be reached.’ ![]()

But not to worry, I gleamed some insights from the link you sent and just Googled ‘dogs fields around me’ and found a couple. Thanks a lot!
If u search dog field in your area on goog that will help you
