LED flicker in video

Noticed at the beginning of this video clip a flicker that looked likely to be caused by the lighting but it stopped just as the drone started to move.
Question, for curiosity only, does the drone anti flicker settings take a short time to adjust to the scene or not?
Drone, Air 2S
Anti flicker, on auto
Lights in shed LED
Lights in shed to left Sodium vapour.

Some of mine in darker scenarios do that, but to be honest it doesn’t bother me, just thought it was the start of recordings

I’ve had this issue with a mixture of lighting when filming outside in Lanzarote during an evening of shooting video with my M2P. I’d set the flicker to 60hz for Europe, but some of the lights were obviously 50hz, faulty or some other cycle. I just copied the affected footage onto a new layer above the original in Final Cut X, then shifted the duplicated layer on by one frame and masked out the ares without the flicker, then changed the layer transparency to around 50%. This did a pretty good job of covering up the flickering.

I thought Europe was 50Hz?

Yes, you’re right  My flickering lights were the 50hz ones then. Still sorted it in the end though in post.

Thanks all very interesting.
I thought LED lights would not cause a flicker but thinking about it they do often noticeably flicker for a while when first switched on or if faulty. Will have to do a few trial videos just to see.

interesting topic… i remember from my engineering days in factories for example… they would have banks of fluorescent lights and they would visibly flicker at the AC frequency. Later they had modifications to raise the frequency a lot higher and it was not then noticeable… LEDs can too if they don’t have any circuitry to raise the frequency… they can switch on and of at very high speeds… DC supply negates that.

Incandescent bulbs would flicker to on AC too but on the off cycle the time for the element to cool down and lower the lighting is so long that a refresh frequency comes in and it looks like it is constantly lit
