Leiston Abbey is one of Suffolk’s most impressive monastic ruins and has some spectacular architectural features. It was founded in 1182 by Ranulf de Glanville, Henry II’s Chief Justiciar, and was dedicated to St Mary.
TOLP from a nearby field, it’s English Heritage property (and you know what they can be like) but it’s closed for conservation work at the moment so if noone sees you, there is as always no harm done.
It’s also within the Sizewell EWZ so be advised.
With @AtomicSquirrel who’s lovely Mavic 3 Pro was in the air for these ones.
