I remember flying in LiftOff and being fully capable of flying, landing and whatnot, only to go out with a 5-inch and crash, but luckily not enough to damage it. It can help learning the controls/basics, but when it comes to the first couple of flights, it still is scary as heck to fly a real fpv drone.

Snap. Exactly the same here. Few practices in LiftOff. Off to the field with my shiny new Nazgul… and in seconds I was quarter of a mile away and going in the wrong direction, rapidly. 
Dipped behind some trees and the rest was… predictable.
