Hi everyone I’m a new member with a problem !! The gimbal on my phantom 4 pro plus which I’ve just purchased second hand won’t rotate or move down 90 degrees using the controller.I’ve rebooted and downloaded the latest software without any luck.Would appreciate any suggestions.Regards Steve
I assume that you can move the gimbal (gently) by hand?
If so my first guess would be a ribbon cable adrift from its socket on the controller board.
Hi thanks for your suggestion, would that be on the controller or the drone itself ?
Check both ends of the cable. If the aircraft was sent to you by post or parcel carrier the cable may have become loose in transit.
I concur wholeheartedly with my more knowledgeable colleagues! 90% the ribbon cable, 10% the motor’s had a bang and bent the shaft.
Thank you for your replies.I ended up biting the bullet and sent the drone to the Dronedoctor in Brighton which they concluded the pitch motor needs replacing due to internal damage.
Ah, that’s a shame.

Glad you got it sorted though
