Some photos of Lindisfarne Causeway from a recent visit to Northumberland. Seems to be quite an event to gather and watch the tide coming in! One of the locals told us there’s at least one driver a month who pushes their luck! The tide comes in quick and the current is strong enough to push a car off the road!

Beyond the road you can see the posts which mark the pilgrims’ way footpath across the bay and the refuge which serves it. That would be an uncomfortable six hours!
