Liverpool waterfront and Royal Liver Building - Added to Coastal Scenery in North West

I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:

Land owner permission requirements unknown.

The Liverpool waterfront is the site of the iconic “Three Graces” of the Liver Building, Cunard Building and the Port of Liverpool building. It also has great scenery across the River Mersey and of the Mersey Ferry.

The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 07/05/2022. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.

Here is an unedited video of a flight I did at the Liverpool Waterfront last week. Liverpool is easily accessed on the national rail network.

I took of and landed from the by railings along the waterfront near to the Pier Head after finding a quiet spot. Lots of places to eat and drink nearby in the Albert Dock complex, I chose to have a couple of cold cokes in the Pumphouse pub.

I’m hoping to get here one evening this week, can anyone who has flown here offer advice on where to park up?
I don’t really know Liverpool at all.
Many thanks

I want to fly here, but there are no parking or take off and landing markers. Can anyone that has flown here or knows the area add some markers to the map please?

I’ve just added a new Take Off And Landing marker to this location @Dorje :slightly_smiling_face:

Though you could probably take off and land anywhere along the waterfront depending how busy it is and how many people close by.

I chose my location because it it near the pierhead ferries and the three graces. There is a monument there right against the railings which I reverse my wheelchair to, with the railings directly to my left, it means there can only be people in front of me or to my right. If I were to do this on the other side of the monument, with the railings directly to my right, then the Albert Dock complex is just in front of me. As soon as you take of from here you can fly over the railings so that you are over the river and not people.

Also at the Albert Dock complex is lots of parking but as I no longer drive I’ll leave that for someone who does to mark the best place.
