Llangeinor Church - Added to Places of Worship in Wales

I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene - Location # 597

Land owner permission not required.

Ample parking is available outside the church and the pub (the Llangeinor Arms).

Public footpaths run across the fields and the best one, in my opinion, is accessed by walking up teh unmade road with the church on your left and then you will see the entrance. Again, fab 360 viws around the two vallies you are atop of.

Pub does good food but can get booked out so if wanting to eat then my advice book in advance.

The originator declared that this location was not in a flight restriction zone at the time of being flown. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying the same location.

Went to fly there many years ago as it’s on my doorstep they told me I had to have permission from the Vicar

Really? Folks will try anything to stop you flying.

There’s public accessible footpaths and fields all around. No permission needed.

It doesn’t hurt, if church is open and you can find the vicar to be polite and let them know, but they can’t stop you.

That’s what I thought they don’t own the air space. They were concerned that my 249g drone might damage the church :joy:. I explained to them that I’m fully insured and pilot licensed if anything happened maybe I’m too polite I should have just flown it knowing that I’m well within the rules of the CAA.

Tell them “It’s OK - I have the permission of the Vicar’s boss.”
