Loch Ness

To cut a long story short, I am able to go to Loch Ness on Boxing day.
I REALLY want to do a flyover. Maybe get lucky with a grainy analogue image of some shadow on the water. Am I ok? Drone assist says I’m good.
Are there any bylaws I should be aware of?

Nope :+1:

The RAF sometimes do low level flying in the area but I doubt it on boxing day.

Could give the low level advisory line a call.

Enjoy

Yep, that’s true. To be honest if they do this on the day you are filming you won’t know about it until it’s too late. One minute you will be happily watching your drone, the next you will be wondering where it went. Next day there will be an article in a national rag about how a drone nearly brought down a Typhoon fighter.

Those pilots are notoriously crazy f**rs through the valleys.

I’ll keep an eye out! Should make some interesting video. I doubt my quad will pose a danger to a screaming wing on a combat drill. They’ll probably try to get a target lock lol.

Understood…

Very true.

@notveryprettyboy Some info on the military LFA’s here and phone number for advisory line.

I’ve called it twice now and they were pretty helpful.

Well I was actually pretty disappointed that I didn’t see anything! But here is a short cruise over Loch Ness.
