Loch Tarff - Added to Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Scotland

I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:

Land owner permission requirements unknown.

Loch Tarff is a small freshwater loch approximately 1.25 km (0.78 mi) from the southeastern shore of Loch Ness in the Scottish Highlands.

Footage of the loch was used in the 1983 film Local Hero (in the scene immediately following the rabbit and the fog; the lead character's car, a Ford Cortina is stopped on the road).[5] The scene is taken from the B862 looking westward and some of the loch's islets can be seen in the background.

The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 14/03/2024. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.
