The Geopark is just north of Ullapool, stunning views of the mountains… Well worth a look and a quick flight..
The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 28/10/2025. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location. Landowner permission may be required before taking off.
We were just a tad too late as it had got dark unfortunately by the time we reached there. We tried to get Eileen Donan Castle but it was far too windy for the Mini4Pro
I flew Eilean Doonan a couple of years ago, before the ‘no drone’ signs appeared, its a beautiful building, but the wind is definitely a problem a lot of the time…
They said apparently it was because of low flying military aircraft. I opened up my app and was like “nothing here” 
They did say I could fly from 4pm as they closed as 3 and everyone should be out by then. Would’ve been dark and the wind from the weather forecast had increased since I checked earlier in the day.
