I’d say it looks too rectangular … no arms/props.
Also looks a bit too dark & blueish to be a Mini 2
That could just be the dusk sky last evening.
Apologies the video cant be accessed. Will fix asap when I get home.
Definitely worth checking out - it’s not consistent with the rest of the dirt …
Sorry about that. I had to add the vid to Google Drive now that Dropbox has suspended me sharing links.
Can someone test the link now?
I can play it, but afraid the ‘blue thing’ does not look like teasure to me.
blue plastic bag or food-safe rubber glove ???
Sorry to hear about your mini Chris. Gutted. I think it looks lilke a glove too.
had quick look at vid too, sorry but not drone shaped i fear😢. good speed shame about result, very brave attempt in that weather
Going by this thread Recovered DJI Mini 2 From Flat Roof After 3 Weeks (Its Still Working) - #5 by abbyforrester it’s still worth looking for !
Day 3, SAR continues. It’s cold and wet, but not so windy. Was hoping to take the M2P up, but too wet for that. Looks like another shed load of miles through mid on foot.
I think if you accept it as a possible ‘suicide’ mission before you fly then it isn’t stupid - it is research. It lasted longer than I would have thought it would from your logs. A testament to the stabiity of the mini2 hardware and software. There were a lot of blackbirds out and about where we live - they were whizzing past the window! I am not sure what the fight speed record is for a blackbird but these were doing almost 70mph by my reckoning. I hope you find it and can report on its condition…
Ah - yes - I remember that view!
900m just to get to the crash site
Good luck!
If only you had a Land Rover or something
Which sector is next then Chris?
The size of the potential search area, it’s almost a needle in a haystack job
Pass. Just did recon with the M2P, came back wet, but ok. Recorded the trees, Area E. Just watched it back, can’t see it in there. It’s a needle in a haystack using the M2P. But on foot, it’s nigh on impossible. Field C is 1.2km to walk to the end and back, and that just searches a tiny slither of it.
What?
So were they on the route home that you sent me on - far deeper rutting than that, bottoming out to the point I thought I’d never get out!
