Finally, after many many years of discussions in darkened rooms it finally arrived (once of course the council had paid the last installment to the builders)
Opened today Saturday 7th Sept at 9am for pedestrians to wander carefree & admire the new views available
And then at 12pm it opened to road traffic cutting the time it takes to go from one side to another to a matter of single minutes rather than the days it used to take if there was snarl up at the Bascule bridge further down river or of course if it was broken.
