That’s the Caribbean - Europe route vessel… One of the main modes of transport for tropical fruit into the country. Nice video. :+1:

You guys amaze me with the videos of the large ships, do you just fly or do you get permision from the ships owners. I used to work in shipping many years ago, just before container ships came in to use and we used to sail our ships from the Royal Albert docks in London to South Africa they were fun times.

Shipping companies don’t regulate the airspace. :smile: I fly over many vessels heading out to open water…

I know they don’t own the airspace but I just wondered. I live fairly close to a shipping lane and was just wondering about flying over the ships going in and out of port. That certainly gives me food for thought for a good fly day. Thank you. :blush:

My take on it is keep a sensible height and distance from a vessel and you’ll have no issues. I always maintain about 300 feet and at least 50-60 meters distance (maybe a little lower for the huge container vessels) You can still get some great images and videos.
