Made my first sale

Hi All,

Just made my first sale of footage, 2 short clips fro Balvenie and Glenfiddich Distillery to an independant film-maker who is making a film about the distilleries, he had all the internal footage, but didnt have any drone footage for opening establishing shots, so 2 short clips requested and transferred, and a nice crisp £50 sat in my Paypal…

Only another £3119 to go for my MAVIC 3 PRO / Flymore / RC PRO kit, at this rate another 100 years will get me there :slight_smile:

He found them on Youtube, searched for footage of the subject and mine came up - a pretty Niche subject for Drone video’s, Scottish Whisky Distilleries…

Thats the drone that will allow me to capture the sort of footage I want, nt cheap, but its the one I want to get, and hubby is in agreement, although typically being from Yorkshire is baulking a bit at the cost - he thinks the MINI3 Pro is all I need - it is a fine drone, but I want to have soething to handle the winds better and allow more video options… May take a while to save up, but it will be worth it…

That was an interesting reveal clip from the trees - a perfect establishing shot. Not surprised they wanted to use it.

Both of the full edits are on Youtube, I will post them now… The footage is being used in an internal company video for investors in Whisky, speciically showing Balvenie and Glenfiddich, so unfortunately wont be on general release - darn it!

Thanks, I had permission from Balvenie to fly from the Car Park, and knew there were lots of trees, so it seemed a perfect reveal… That was the 3rd attempt, the first one I was pointing slightly in the wrong direction, and the second was too fast, so third time lucky… :slight_smile:

No, I did both of those, they are just going to use the opening shot of each - he hasnt completed the editing yet, so I havent seen his video…

He is just using the first opening shot of each video, the rise up through the trees on Balvenie and the fly in at Glenfiddich…
