Did you get any hassle out there? I’ve heard the volunteers/caretakers can be a bit abrasive to people with drones.

Been meaning to meet up with @Yith for a session out here.

I keep hearing good things about this today…
Well up for a trip!

No not at all when I arrived at around 12pm nobody else there… I always try and do shoots like this when the public are at work less chance of bumping into folk.

Same. I prefer to fly weekdays to avoid people.

Me and Brendan went there last night.

  1. Very windy.
  2. Very easy to lose video signal on the other side of the huge stone structures
  3. Quiet… only one couple there and they were fine.
  4. Some great “gaps” and power looping…
  5. even not bad for medium range stuff (though see #2)

All-in-all a pretty fun place. Only broke one motor, a few props and unfocussed a camera. All gap related… well ok, the camera focus wasn’t…

Video will come along at some point…

Guys, try North yorkshire and North Lincolnshire. I made an attempt to rip a final pack near Epworth and the wind was so savage, the quad was getting buffeted to the point I canned it. I am kind of tempted to go down to Matlock this Sunday and fly inside if it’s raining. Not 100% sure I will though. But kind of enjoying flying everyday at the minute, even if the wind blow is stupid.
