Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced Screen Capture with Thermal

Just bought myself a M2EA (for thermal work).

I’m still playing with it, however there are not many settings on the thermal you can tweak (almost none!)

Its not as good at picking up detail and background info as the Zenmuse XT, but I need more time to confirm that, but initial feeling is its not got the gain and detail for the background.

However, that said, its excellent (just as good as XT) at picking up a thermal signature at distance and thats the key thing. Also, its a warm muggy day here, while I mostly fly XT on cold nights so the thermal background image might improve at night - watch this space!

That’s pretty cool! … with spots of warm and hot.

Thanks for posting Glenn :+1: :+1: :+1:

Looks to be the ideal tool for the lost dog SAR flights I get involved with. Definition seems far better than the Enterprise Dual which of course it should be.

Really got me interested. Just wondering if the forthcoming Mavic 3 will bring about an airframe update for the Enterprise Advanced

I have also recently obtained an M2EA for security, wildlife survey and SAR and so far loving it. The results at night and early mornings are impressive. Can even see a heat trail left on the ground by grazing cows at 100mtr (the drone at 100mtr not the cows LOL)
Been getting to grips with the temperature alarm. Here’s a short test video in my front room…the footprints made me laugh.

Capture of the paw prints is very impressive :sunglasses:

Yeah hang fire guys my first flight was in the damp and I’ve just flown it in the dry during the day!

Omg!! It’s exceptionally good!

BETTER than the Zenmuse XT I would say!

Will upload soon!

Im a bit disappointed with it. Excellent as far as it goes but the lack of manual controls for exposure is ridiculous on an Enterprise drone. My old Anafi Thermal had a lot better control options over exposure and temperature range etc. Just lacking the resolution. Hopefully DJI address this with a firmware update and improve the Analysis Tool app. Only advantage over the Matrice with an XT is the portability and flight time which is good. Price obviously is lot less than a Matrice setup so overall value for money I guess.

I think it’s actually got better clarity than the XT in the day time now I’ve flown it without moisture in the air.

For me the portability and comparable thermal detection makes it ideal. Also batteries are cheaper and flight times better.

I hear you though, it needs more customisable controls! Fingers crossed they work on that!

The split screen is handy.

I don’t need radiometric, I’m literally counting deer at night, and it’s ideal for that.
