Couldn’t get any closer to the middle, the updraft through the tower just kept blowing me backwards!

Yes. A great day. Thanks for organising @Steviegeek and especial thanks to @notveryprettyboy for allowing me to charge loads of 4S batteries and for the ESC that I’m hoping I won’t need.
Just a few repairs to do, but loads of video on many sources to edit. Also I’ll get a load more batteries.

Yey! It was the motor wire… hopefully not a dead ESC.
Clearly when I soldered the wire extensions onto these free motors I didn’t do a good enough job.

Not sure about this, but it was a relatively cheap day out for me, for a change:
- One motor on the Darwin, and I already have spares
- One broken prop on the Croc
- And one 6S battery*, which I’m sure saved the encounter below from being far more costly
* It didn’t spontaneously combust on the journey home, so it must be fine.

I was concerned about that!
There were a couple of very bad crashes. Especially notable was @notveryprettyboy who ripped an arm off his quad doing the “wall of death”. All was well once 6 zip ties, some electrical tape and a random bit of rusty metal was applied.
Though didn’t @DeanoG60 completely trash his drone?
I had the above motor wire. A ruined Camera/VTX combo on my 2" 3D printed drone and ripped the new Caddx Peanut mount off my 3" printed drone.

Nah didn’t crash just struggled to fight the wind with the all singing all dancing self leveling GPS Positioning self built 7inch
Can’t imagine why. 
Still cool as a 
Got plenty of life left in it, I’m sure.
I may just relegate it to the garage to be on the safe side, though.
