I was thinking hooks or a big assed neodymium might to it
I used the laser range finder. Got cm accurate location and distances from the nearest dry land etc.
Is there anything magnetic enough on the exterior for a magnet to work?
Doesn’t appear tangled in weed (yet), so a hook would be my first attempt.

A hook with a duct tape point of failure is a good call, as you say its not tangled yet,
As with my drone rescue, I’d go with double strand of cotton as a break point. Will break with a jerk, but will lift your a bit done slowly.
Duct tape is amazingly strong.
Cotton sounds good too,
I was thinking of just a few strands of the duct tape and a very gentle lift.
If the cotton fails before lifting, try again with triple, then quad.
(Quad might be relevant.

Its not something i can do today anyways. I’ve no hooks and would need my phantom. Dont really want to use the m30, just in case…
Plus i’ld have to work around the tides.. which is coming in now
