Meetup at Cheesefoot Head Nr Winchester, Winchester, South East at 12:00 on Wednesday, 25th June 2025

I’m organising a meetup at Cheesefoot Head Nr Winchester

When: Wednesday, 25th June 2025

Start time: 12:00

Approximate end time: 14:00

Suitable for drone types: Camera Drones & FPV Drones

Additional notes:
It's not the most photogenic place in the world … but it is away from people so close to zero chance of anyone being annoyed. (Even one of the farm workers walked past us as if we didn't exist when there a couple of months back.)

Getting into the field is through a "gap" in the barbed wire fence, just to the right of the far end of the car park, (Free parking,)

Tagging regional group @group-southeast to let you all know :person_raising_hand:t2:

Can you join us? If so, hit the button on the Cheesefoot Head Nr Winchester meetup page to register your interest and be kept up to date.

Hope to see you there!

Tagging @macspite to let you know I’ve made the changes listed below

  • Marker position changed, check the map for the new location

Sorry Dave @OzoneVibe No good for me as it’s midweek so I’ll (hopefully) still be asleep at midday…now if it was on a Saturday, Sunday or Monday I’d be there!

No probs. I was really only going to head up there for a muck about with the P2 on my own, and then decided to offer it as a meetup.

Are dogs allowed?

I wouldn’t be going if they weren’t. :stuck_out_tongue:

Be aware that the “access” to the field is through a “gap” in the barbed wire .. but Sophie’s managed it a few times with careful guidance.

 I guess it’s not impossible that there could be animals in the field. .. I’ll check tomorrow and confirm either way.

Have a good flight. Unfortunately work beckons! Many thanks for the heads-up and hope to see you on the next meetup.

Yes - I realise mid-week isn’t practical for most. This was really me heading there by myself (for some drone testing clear of any people), initially, but decided to see if anyone else fancied joining me.

I’m sure there will be other meets soon. :+1:

The latest Airdata forecast for Wednesday is rather more optimistic

Currently hardly a breeze up here.

Field is in hay .. no livestock.

This is the “gap” through the barbed wire fence.

(Just managed to put a hole in my shorts. Like last time, mainly concentrating on getting the mutt through safely.)

I’ve got holes in everything ‘ Literally ‘ so that shan’t be a problem for me ! :+1:

Weather continues to look good for today .. if slightly overcast, currently.

I’m here early for a pre-meet dog walk.

Car park is surprisingly busy .. :scream:

Have you gone viral Dave?

If I had a virus, they’d be advised to keep away. :winking_face_with_tongue:
