All set for my longest trip since I started chemo a year ago. Looking forward to meeting up and showing off my naff piloting. West car park was my thought too.

Thanks, we had a disturbed night, the abscess burst, so lots of smelly clearing up, but less pain for her… It is half the size it was yesterday, golf ball sized now instead of tennis ball sized, fingers crossed she responds to the antibiotics…

Hope to make the next meet, really wanted to come today, but can’t leave the dog for the time needed and we havent managed to find anyone to dogsit today..

Hope you all have a great day

Parking is mobbed. I’ve managed to get the last space in the East car park.

Heading to the square in front of the Palace. You’ll know me by the bags that I’m carrying.

Yep was great to see everyone. Weather was alright and lots of knowledge being transferred. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Hopefully it wont take me a year to pull the footage from my Neo and Avata. :grinning:

@Shanks860 The whale is still there, mostly skin and bone, but clearly visible even at high tide. It’s slightly further than the first bit of rock, maybe 300-400m. The sign is in place and the whale is just to the left of it looking towards the water.

Great day, thanks for organising it Paul. Lovely to meet everyone haven’t seen what I manage to capture and I’ll be pretty sore for the next couple of days but well worth it. Thankyou everyone,

Sorry I missed you guys today, I didn’t get finished at the wedding I was shooting till 5.30. I nipped down to the west car park in case anyone was still there. I did get some footage of the town for my wedding film, but the weather was a bit grey and was pretty windy.

I turned up today, but both car parks full, no access to the internet, so no idea how to locate anyone …
Food for thought for future events. :face_with_spiral_eyes:

That’s a shame. The last of us were heading away about 4-4:30. Yeah the weather was a bit overcast buts it’s a Scottish summer so at least it was dry.

Another shame. Yeah the parking was busier than I thought it was going to be at 1.

That’s a problem with town meet-ups as the group do tend to move around. Funnily enough I was thinking of setting up a WhatsApp group but I normally get forum notifications quite quickly on my phone if someone DMs. Neither would help you with no internet access however.

A countryside meet would probably be in one location so latecomers could join up easily. We shall have to find a good location with hills, old buildings, waterfalls and bridges for @AlbionDrones

I was thinking of locations on the way home, I have some ideas not far apart but they’d involve driving between sites. One involves a bridge and a waterfall so Albion would be happy  though parking is fairly limited. There is also a nice church nearby with a river, bridges and a disused railway track within reasonable distance.

Thank you, Paul, for organising a great day out yesterday at Culross. It has been on my bucket list for ages. It was lovely to meet other drone buddies and share experiences. Here is a link to my video – from the small amount of footage I have – padded out with some photos! Looking forward to seeing what you guys managed to get. Especially video by the little neo!

Just for you, heres the almost raw footage from the Neo. I’m working away during the week so this is very basic with no music or fancy colour grading. I’ll get the other footage from the Avata2 sorted next weekend.
