You’re we;cpme Dave, but its hardly any effort, just a matter of deciiding I wabt to fly and seeing if anyone else does!

Good to have a little more time to chat than at “Fort Nelson became Portchester Castle” !

Yup, was a nice area.

I think the first spot gave a clearer area to fly but parking was a bit tight. The second spot the opposite.

Either way, the golfers were in buzzing range. It’s just a shamr i didnt hae time to play.

There is always the other end of the golf course down by the Ferry Boat Inn. Parking via pay machine but a big area to patrol and staying close to the car would give fair warning of Parking Vopos.

A view across Langstone Harbour Entrance to the wonders of Eastney and Portsmouth beyond, Fort Blockhouse (soon to be a migrant hotel?) the sewage outfall and Eastney Lifeboat. The ferry boat itself, a Phoenix caisson (Mulderry Harbour section) boats in and out and golfers with no buildings to shelter them.

And a wee cafe or the delights? of the Ferry Boat Inn.

I’ve never visited near the ferry boat inn.
Close to the hayling side of the ferry?

I’ve often parked and flown from the other side.
The portsmouth end of the ferry.

Nice area, free parking which is mostly unoccupied if you pick a sensoble time

Burger van is first class but closes aroumd 1600 iirc.

Walk off the Ferry and it is across the road. Haven’t been in it for at least 25 years, I think it is one of those places that survives due to location rather than quality of food, drink or service.

Sorry Rob @macspite but now I’m back at work Saturday, Sunday and Monday’s only are my free days

Next to the RNLI (and burger van  ) on the Pompey side is one of my favourite TOAL sites.

See you soon weather permitting :crossed_fingers:
