Additional notes:
Soirry for the short notice. Friday *tomorrow) now looks flyable. in several weather apps.

This site offers a reasonabe flat area with trees on 3 sides for practices and GVC training and areas of interest such as the gun emplacements, Sinah Lake, the golf Course and views of Portsmouth, Hayling, the Solent and Langstone Harbour.

Parking in two areas, the one at right angles to the road has 2 metre height restriction. Food and toilets 1 mile in each direction. Some seating on site.

Tagging regional group @group-southeast to let you all know :person_raising_hand:t2:

Hope to see you there!

Not going to be able to make this one .. or any during the next 2/3 weeks. “Puppy in season” issues … and she’d drive everyone insane (me, especially) if I tried to keep her in the car for the duration. (.. or she’d trash the car. :scream:)

It’s pretty much spur of the moment as i glanced at OKtoFly this morning and noticed tomorrow is entirely blue, checked the otherweather apps and they are all in broad agreement regarding wind speeds.

I have my new Inspire 2 to test - six different lenses, 240 Gb SSD or 128Gb SD card, Pro Res and Cinema DNG - a lot of variables to play with (and only two sets of batteries).

The Inspire takes TB50s but not the higher capacity TB55s - they foul the props as the undercarriage lowers - and we know how that turns out :frowning:

But the Matrice takes either so running it on the lower capacity batteries shaves 740grams off the all up weight. And running without a Z30 and an X5S takes off another kilo.

A good breeze and ATTI mode and 60 mph should be well within reach.

Looks like I’ll find out what happens when a meetup has only one person. Do I get a bronze facilitator badge or a wooden spoon?

No :see_no_evil_monkey:

If it does come to nothing at least I’ll have a te,plate for when the weather improves and i can setup ameet with more notice

As it stands im in the middle of car discussions.

I have to be in town friday evening around 1800.

Depending on stuff i might be able to make it earlier and plan on a 2 hour journey back.

Edit. I mean get to your neck of the woods earlier

Friday evening. A3. They may be setting up for the M25J10 closure (from21:00) Guildford can be a pain though it’s normally just the southbpund lane in the afternoon.

I have a hard limit of being were i need to be by 1800.

Miss Google is usually pretty accurate for me so i can plan around that. Pile ups not withstanding

I’m thinking about attending this meetup @macspite
