I’m organising a meetup at Meyrick Park :smiley:

When: Thursday, 26th June 2025

Start time: 14:00

Approximate end time: 16:00

Suitable for drone types: Camera Drones & FPV Drones

There are quite a few members in the Bournemouth/Poole area now so I was wondering if anyone might be interested in a bit of a get together. We could fly if we want, Meyrick Park looks a good spot, date and time can be changed to suit the most of us. I have not flown there myself so if anyone has a better suggestion it can be changed. The other option is to get together one evening at a good pub and get to know each other a bit, and share anything we want about our drones and flying experiences.

If you take Wimbourne Road from Cemetry Junction towards Wimbourne, then take the third turning on the left onto Meyrick Park Crescent, and then the first turning on the left onto Central Drive. Just before the barrier across the road there is a small parking area on the left.

I would suggest we meet in the parking area before heading onto the park.

This meeting is of course dependant on the weather, as long as it is dry we can meet up,

New to us all, and I’m sure we’ll all get to learn more about it’s use in the real world usage than was in the beta testing .. which was exhaustive.

Thanks for your positive comment, I saw this as a new feature of Drone Scene and thought it was a great idea. Even if we don’t fly it would be nice to meet some local people and just have a good chat and swap experiences, maybe a pub meet once a month or something similar.
