We are still waiting for the police to give us the information on the driver that knocked us down in June!
So they are rubbish at dealing with important manual tasks, so unless something is automated I can’t see them doing much with the information.

Knocked you down? So this is I presume is a criminal investigation?
My wife and I were badly injured when a car knocked us down.
We are still waiting for the police to give us the registration details etc.
Without that we can’t reach out to the insurance company for assistance.
So my faith in them isn’t high at the moment.
I’m very Sorry to hear that…
Were you supplied with a CAD / ref number for the incident? if so did you pass this to your insurance company. Have you been given an officer point of contact who dealt with statements (presuming you have both written one).
Passed to the insurance who paid the fee in July - apparently the team who pass on the number plate are waiting on the finance team to confirm that the fee has been paid.
The officer dealing with the incident refused to give us the details and only took a statement this week!
They are a joke!
Next time, I am on the ground with broken limbs, I will make sure I get up to take photos!
