Has anyone else had this problem?
I’ve managed to break 2 O4 Air Lite units because the stock canopy does not protect them properly. The canopy is only screwed down at three points: left, right and rear, but the front just “floats”, presumably to try and deal with jello.
The problem is that the camera is mounted directly above one of the key components on the O4 board. So if you take a big whack on the top of the canopy, the board on the camera itself, mounted vertically, comes straight down onto this big metal plate and crushes it.
How do I know this? Let’s say, purely hypothetically, that I were teaching myself power loops and didn’t always remember to cut the throttle before it inverted…
Can anyone recommend an alternative canopy that doesn’t have this problem? For now I added a small sponge “shock absorber” on the affected plate, but I’m sure that isn’t helping with cooling so I think the only answer has to be a better canopy. But equally I don’t want worse jello than I already have.
I know this is a popular unit, has anyone solved for this?

I seem to recall that there are a couple of 3d printable supports available to download for the meteor 75 pro, which fixes to the front screw on the FC & Frame under the camera.
I’ll dig out the file, I’ve seen on Bambu Makerworld.

@TheBinman you are a legend! That first one that goes on the front screw looks perfect, would do the same job as my current bodge but without affecting cooling of the main board.
I don’t have my own 3d printer, but my neighbour does so I will have a quick word.

Would the CNC heat cover from Flywoo help with impact protection? And does it fit?
Not seen the Flywoo casing, but Axis Flying make one.

Apologies I meant the Axis one. Does this fit on the Meteor without issues? And would I protect from impact and some minor splashes of water?
I’m not sure.
I purchased the full Axisfly set (CNC case & camera mount), however it never got utilised, so it’s in the cupboard, with loads of other drone related bits and bobs
