Middle Peak Quarry, Wirksworth, Derbyshipe was used as a film location in 2021 for the Disney+ Star Wars series Andor. The quarry represented the planet Narkiina 5, specifically the prison facility areas.
The quarry dates back to the 1790’s and closed in 1992. The area is considered dangerous with steep quarry walls facings and deep acidic and cold waters. The area is surrounded by a security fence so access is not possible.
