Never experienced this before but I fired up the bird today and soon as I lifted off it just flipped over on its back! It happened a couple of more times so I checked the props and if anything was blocking the motors, all clear.
I decided to calibrate the compass and the problem righted itself, literally!!! I’ve had to calibrate the compass in the past but I’ve never experienced this flipping motion.
There was a time when they used to show individual motor speeds, so was hoping to advise which motor wasn’t behaving.
Stick movements all look fine … so definitely take this up with DJI.
Usually … a flip at take-off is a prop on the wrong corner trying to descend when the others are ascending, but if that wasn’t the case I’m sure the onboard (far more detailed … AND encrypted ) logs will show what failed, and DJI can analyse them.
I don’t fly near the sand for that very reason… The beach areas i use in that location are just stones. and I always take off from the drone placed on my drone case (all plastic) and i hand catch it when landing.
Shortly after that I re-located elsewhere and had no issues whatsoever. Maybe just a one off Gremlin?
