Mini 4 or 3?

I have the mavic 3 pro with rc pro RM510 controller. On occasions when I want to fly where the 3 can’t I’ve been thinking about getting the mini 4 pro. I was gutted to find the controller isn’t compatible. Should I pick up an upgrader’s mini 3 (which i believe is compatible with the RC pro) with or without controller or go the whole hog and just get a mini 4?
Being fairly unknowledgeable about these things, I didnt know if there is a non -DJI hack which allows the mini 4 to be used with the RC pro.

Hi i read that “DJI has stated that the RC Pro hardware is not capable of O4 transmission” read this on Does Mini 4 Pro work on RC PRO Controller | DJI Mavic, Air & Mini Drone Community

This should help answer this

Looks like either the DJI rc or RC pro will work with the mini 3 and mavic 3

@Howard78 Thanks for that, so all i have to figure is if the mini 4 does anything that is a must have, Im leaning towards the 3 in terms of cost and cutting weight by using one controller

The mini 4 has some extra modes and I think the camera is a little better.

I’ve got a mini 3 pro and find it to be most capable

I only really shoot stills and the 3 pro has the camera options pretty well sewn up. That said i often manually shoot panos and im interested in the switching to portrait orientation for to save having to shoot two rows of bracketed images
