Mini 4 pro decides to land VERY slowly

Hi my Mini 4 pro drone decided at 450 feet (yes i know should not be at that height) only for less than a minute to “drone now landing” and despite me trying to cancel it and land it myself or even RTH it still descended extremely slowly. I assumed it was the height issue which did not caution me and allow me to overide it or accept it. Even at 100 feet I could not cancel it. Any ideas?

@Rodders007, it would be really useful if you could share the Airdata logs for this issue, it’ll help people provide you with a more detailed answer based on what actually happened.

If you’re not familiar with Airdata it’s an independent platform that allows you to aggregate your flight records and it also allows you to share logs with other people.

Here’s a guide on how to upload your flight logs to their web site / app:

Setting up Direct DJI Sync

Once your logs are visible in Airdata you can use this guide to share the log(s) in question:

Once you’ve created the share on the Airdata web site simply reply here and paste the URL, someone will then take a closer look for you.

How slowly is that?

Did it take 90 seconds or six minutes to descend from 450ft?

6 minutes at 0.04 (i think)

What settings are set up on your controller for loss of signal? Hover, land or RTH. I have mine set to return to home. I also have max height set to 400 ft so it won’t accidentally go above that (unless a different limit specified by local atc).

Hi my drone normally requests an overide confirmation at 400’ but it didnt this time. Even RTH went very slow same speed as the original drone landing message.

As suggested by Wayne @SparkyFPV above - your best option to get some insight into this problem is upload your flight log using AIrData. We can then review exactly what happened and come up with some meaningful suggestions. Without this data we’re basically guessing :man_shrugging:

Hi. Were you flying in cloudy conditions at all ? Even very light clouds / mist can cause this to happen. And I wondered if you had any accessories fitted to the drone that might have impeded the downward sensors ?

Yes a very slight whisper of cloud went past. I also use legs attached which have never been an issue before and tested later and all ok.
