Hi, I am difficulty getting the Mini 4 Pro manual to download as a complete PDF. For some reason large parts in the manual are missing.
I have tried downloading this many times without success. Basically some of the text and pictures are there but much of the text and images are either missing or partially there with chunks missing.
This is downloading the PDF direct from the DJI site. I’ve not experienced any problems downloading any other PDF’s from other sites, seems very strange.
It’s very frustrating as I can’t get any detailed instructions on how to use the drone/controller. For example today I wanted to get more info on using manual focus and the pages in the downloaded PDF are blank.
Hi, thanks for the link. Unfortunately on downloading this version still seems to have large chunks missing. I will try downloading it on my laptop when I get a chance, I have downloaded it on my android tablet so far. Though I have tried downloading from the DJI site on both tablet and laptop with the same problems.
I can’t understand why this should be a problem, very strange.
Hi thanks again, I’ll try that. I’m on a 1gb connection so I don’t have a problem with slow download speed, perhaps it’s downloading too quickly! I always wait until a download has completed before opening it.
As I said, this is the only manual I’ve had a problem with.
Hi, I think the problem may partly lie with the Acrobat Reader app on Android. I downloaded the zip file, unzipped it and it seemed a lot better though there were still bits missing. Here’s an example screenshot,
But then when I exited the app and re-opened the pdf the page was complete! So I rebooted my tablet and it seems to be loading OK though I haven’t checked every page. The app seems to have a problem loading the pictures, perhaps it’s some kind of caching problem.
I tried some of the PDF’s I downloaded from the DJI site and they are still missing a lot of the content, so it doesn’t seem logical to me. Perhaps it’s just a badly put together PDF by DJI which Acrobat doesn’t like for some reason. I can’t think of any other reason it won’t all load. When you download a file it should be all there, if not it would surely not open in the first instance as it would essentially be a corrupted file.
In any case there is enough visible to be getting on with, so thanks again for your help.
Update - Looks like Adobe Acrobat is the culprit, I installed another PDF viewer and the manual displays OK, even the copies I downloaded from the DJI site. So either the Acrobat App for Android is flakey or the DJI PDF does not strictly adhere to the Abode specifications. In any case, problem solved!
