Mini 5 Pro now with extended batteries on Very

Indeed though in some respects that is also now a little ambiguous in that with a Flyer ID & Operator ID one can fly a UK1 (<900 grms) drone with closely similar privileges to UK0 drone :man_shrugging:t2:

bugger that, it’s their fault the 120m limit from the take off point was brought in.

It’s lower in some EU countries … I think?

even more of a reason.

I think we should just make one rule:
oh yeh:- DON’T BE A FUCKING DICK. there we go sorted.

As in - voting leave.

Are they getting us ready for future ID broadcast. It had time come, I wonder if they are making them available for legacy drones, Mini 4 Pro etc.

Thanks for posting.

ID broadcast is already here

Are you saying that my Mini 4 Pro is broadcasting my ID with a standard battery.

They say not, but without throwing it up and checking on the app who knows

At the recent Big Meet lots were (including my CR replaced Avata 2)

Didn’t it come with a UK1 sticker? A DJI rep in a chat took a photo of the X1 Plus with it’s UK1 sticker.

What are the differences? I put UK0 and UK1 into Good To Go and the result was the same.

Not Similar

Exactly the same

Interesting. Thank you.

If I may… Which App are you using to check RemoteID broadcast(s)? :man_shrugging:t2:

Works perfect(ish) on Android, restricted on iOS - details on their page

Regarding a possible new Mini 5 Pro Combo Plus drone purchase (through DJI’s official UK online store) Further conversation with support resulted in this…

“ok, then yesterday, we released UK 1 (c1) verison in our official store, if you decide purchase it, then it will come with UK1, you do not need worry about this.”

So, I’ve ordered one :scream: See what turns up :joy:

Ok but you don’t need to have A2 CofC to fly with C1 class

I know but it helps if you get someone that hasn’t got a clue, had it at the Harrogate showground a couple of years ago, some numpty that thought he knew better than me, maybe he did but when I told him I had done exams to fly he left me alone

Indeed, however, as I understand things, C1 is an EU Classification and can be flown here in UK under the transitional arrangements to the new rules until the end of 2027 after which time they will be considered ‘legacy’ drones.

I want a drone that I can fly here in the UK that is fully compliant with the new rules… Lights, Weights, RemoteID and UK1 Class marked. The new DJI package edition for the Mini 5 Pro, the “DJI Mini 5 Pro Combo Plus” package supplied with the Intelligent “Plus” batteries, purchased from DJI’s official UK store, I’ve been assured today, comes marked as UK1 Class enabling me to fly it in the Open A1 category as a UK1 sub 900 grms drone. :man_shrugging:t2::smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

See other threads of stuff been sent back to them after false assurances

Until it is in your hands, checked and photographed for us, I’d take their musings with a pinch of salt
