Mini 5 Pro now with extended batteries on Very

And on DJI and they also now sell the batteries at £85 each for the extended ones

I wonder if that was an automated listing, Mark?

The Plus combo isn’t available in the UK and EU markets, and the Very site says “delivery in 101 working days” which puts it in to November.

I suspect they may pull that item from their store :see_no_evil_monkey:

No it is available on the DJI UK site, and they are also selling the extended batteries for £85

Oh! Result!

Well that’s what I learned today, thanks Mark

It’ll be fascinating to see if these arrive with a UK1 class mark

Very interesting… Though, DJI’s store in the specs for this ‘Extended’ package states…

  • Class

  • C0/C1

The drone in the Fly More Combo is C0-certified, while the drone in the Fly More Combo Plus is C1-certified. Please note that if the C0-certified drone is fitted with the Intelligent Flight Battery Plus, it exceeds the C0/UK0 MTOM threshold and can no longer be operated as a C0/UK0 UAS. Before flying with the Intelligent Flight Battery or the Intelligent Flight Battery Plus, check and comply with local laws and regulations to confirm whether registration or an exam is required.
DJI maintains full compliance with UK drone regulations and continuously monitors regulatory developments. As part of this approach, DJI will no longer support the updates to a product’s class label after purchase.

So, whilst it has a C1 Class mark, no mention of a UK1 Class mark :man_shrugging:t2:

Spent some time on the phone with DJI Customer Support querying C1/UK1 Class Marks for the Mini 5 Pro with the ‘Plus’ (Heavier) batteries. The conversation summary concluded that it would, at present, be ‘Pot Luck’ on whether a newly supplied Mini 5 Pro with ‘Plus’ batteries came with a UK1 Class mark or not. Apparently it would depend largely on which warehouse fulfilled your order :man_shrugging:t2:

Sounds much like the current Air 3S situation where there are a mixture of both C1 and UK1 floating around the various UK distribution systems

Anyone else reading that as “there will never be a UK0 / UK1 version of the Mini 5”?

All seems unnecessarily ambiguous. Must be me mis-reading things. The new Mini 5 Pro Plus package is new, sold as a separate distinct product on the DJI Store. It was my understanding, till now, that all ‘new’ Drones sold in UK after 1 Jan 2026 had to be sold with UK Class marks :man_shrugging:t2:

It’s yet another total fail by our airspace regulator.

New to market is the wording.

The Drone is 2025, the batteries you could argue are new to UK market in 2026 (I’d guess)

Yes, also had issues previously when flying Hang Gliders & Microlights :scream: Seems nothing is ever simple & nothing ever changes :man_shrugging:t2:

The Plus model airframe that sports the C1 mark is new to the market in 2026

If only we were part of a larger regulatory area .. the EU for instance .. :man_facepalming:

That’d be far too easy a solution

It’s the same with my Lito X1 with the extended batteries, I am over the C0 but not overly concerned as I also have my A2 cofc anyway

Can’t be difficult for you to 3D print “corrected” drone body pieces? :winking_face_with_tongue:
