After the death towers ruined all 3 of my FPV quads… I want to get at least one back in air for a session tomorrow…
Am I OK to mix (not ideal, but will it be OK?) to have 3 2306 2450 and one 2207 2400kV on the quad?
Thanks all

I believe Betaflight will compensate…
I’ve never tried it… but I have seen videos where people have run mismatched motors… It may be tuned strangely?
Hmmm it’s an easy fix… Was the spare from the one I lost at Matlock and couldn’t get the same motors when rebuilding
Also probably why prop was hitting the frame
So you were mixing today?
No no. The “bent” motor I mean, boy it’s taken some damage, 2 massive crashes… heh
Ah I understand now
Be fine. I’ve used 3 2750 and 1 2450. Never knew the difference
What he says
Cant add much to this other than when I spoke to the guy who owns HobbyRC regarding some motors I purchased. He said due to the present climate some people are mixing and matching motors, which I was shocked about.
TBH I can only think sticking a 4s motor on a 6s quad means it will spin up fast therefore getting a little warmer
Please let me know how you go on as I have an odd motor which I will never use due to its KV …
Glad you managed to recover your nazgul sorry nearly cart wheeled into you yesterday. Had a great day today managed to fix 2/3 quads last night and came back with 2 working today
Didn’t notice any difference with running one odd motor. Nice it’s out of the spare box now. Heh. I’m not experienced with lots of different motors though but felt good
Great. Nice to know.
Have an issue with the runcam hybrid. Didn’t you have that issue? Says “No HD”. Did say HD preview at one point but wouldn’t record.
We had planes (some just like yours). 10 inches. Lipo fires. Smoke grenade chasing. Cars an e scooter. A pro fpv racer (amazing to watch). Yeah good times
Oh and does @Nidge have one of these?
Mine did that randomly for a while, then eventually did it all the time. The new board fixed it.
Hmm…
So one thing to try is to reseat the cable on both ends. It just lifts off and snaps back on.
Runcam support were quite helpful.
Lucky you I’m a Nazgul and 4inch Apex, I thought it would be a case of new arm new motor re-fix the camera and solder the buzzer back. But no I ran it through the some stopper and it tripped it some I’m assuming I have bigger issues
But look on the bright side I have 2 to fix and 1 to build so plenty to keep me busy,
I did have to replace a motor, the SMA pigtail “again” redesign a TPU ,mount for one, and the other require a new camera! So a fair bit of work and spares! Not sure about the cine8 yet, the camera not working (OSD is), I have a spare but not the same connections and for a “solder free” build it’s actually harder as don’t have the right connectors, etc… Might just cut em off and solder
