I have the Honda. The Speed Twin is the 1200 and sounds lovely as he has aftermarket exhausts.

I had a chat with a biker when I went to Ribchester to photograph the Roman baths, he had the 900 version and I was quite taken with it. Back in the 70’s I’d had a go on various multi cylinder Japanese (& a 6 cylinder Italian job), not mine, my mates, I could never aford one (different priorities, I loved climbing ) but although reasonably tall I’ve short legs. And nearly dropped the big 4/6 cylinder jobbies when I’ve pulled up at traffic lights. The Triumph looks perfect ( I had a 500 triumph early 70’s), low and slim.

A bee swarm in an apple tree whilst dog walking this morning..

Called a local bee keeper friend that came out and collected.
The branch wasn’t flexible enough for a deft shake, when most fall into a box in position. So it was ghost busters style vacuum into a box.

I totally love bees .. I was in real close .. even whilst they were being disturbed.

When the beekeeper was getting to the centre of the swarm, they were all around, and on, me.

I’d love to have be hives, but not practical where I live.

I love bees too. We had a couple of hives at school, I was a “bee monitor”.:honeybee:

A few remained, when I walked past this morning, so popped home and got the big camera.
Shame is wasn’t sunny like yesterday, and with the long lens on long tubes, I had to crank up the ISO to painfully high levels (de-noise applied in LR) to get to 1/125sec, despite having a (not very bright) ring light on the lens.

A couple with the shorter lens on tubes .. but the lens was less than a couple of inches from the bees.

that’s a lot of bees

On a different subject - just noticed this pic my wife took the day before yesterday on her 5 years old phone - I am mesmerized by the colors…

Ha! We have these in our garden and the village on a regular basis. I do love watching the Keepers sweep them up, particularly when using a traditional Skep and a white sheet.

Perfect timing. I imagine the orange will have come through a couple of mins later.

I was wondering why a work site near me had a no drone sign, until I looked a bit closer.

Not feeling it?
