Saw an Agave Americana (century plant) today, in a front garden of a house in Swanage.
Can take 10 - 30 years to flower, then dies.
I only saw one on the news a few weeks ago

Edible? Do look like St George’s.
Only mushrooms I’ve picked are Porccinos (penny bun), unmistakable, St George’s (at York race course), & Chantrelles (with a Polish friend, who was a chef).
The mutt’s still alive.
