17m wing span is a rather large model plane!
Challenging to transport with the wings off! Could it have been a typo and 1.7m if weighing 8kg and turbine powered?
Well it’s the express, probably only the date is factual… i.e. the date it was published as that’ll be a computer program.

Scary though. It’s helicopters I’m scared of when I’ve seen them. Yes a 5 inch quad will hurt you, very much doubt it could kill, planes though… That’s worrying really! Only 60mph…

What a tragedy, I hope they were insured for his family’s sake, feel sorry for his friend too having to live with this.
Lack of safety procedures on the ground, when multiple models are being flown

it was a large plane if the photos are to be belived. safety wasn’t in place with large models like this how was he able to walk on the runway?
