Hi all
Aside from drone cinematography & editing, another interest of mine is mountain biking. I spent some time capturing footage from the trails at Llandega mountain bike park and made this short film. I hope you enjoy watching it.

Cracking video with some nice transitions between camera types and angle of view. But… that AI voice is horrid. ![]()
loved this - great energy and mmm think I will have to pay this place a visit too seeing as its a little over 2hrs away and not the nearly 5hrs that Bike Park Wales is haha
Of to Bike Park Wales next weekend - cant wait but might give something like this the next time I head to Cannock Chase ( I am just so not this creative haha )
Thanks @Rocket, I appreciate the AI voice wont be to everyone`s taste.
Much appreciated @LE60LAD, Ive been to Cannock a few times and some cracking trails, there. I must admit, filming with Mini3 was a faff to capture the tracking shots, seeing as I had to to stow the controller in my back pack for each shot. If you have a Neo that would be a better solution for capturing MTB footage. Llandegla is great, Ive been mainly sticking to the blue/red trails and only recently taking on the blacks.
Bike Park Wales is on my bucket list as well, such a variety of trails. Hope you have a good one!
Cannock is cool - only ever done the Blue - I did do the first little section of the red once but I kinda need someone to follow as I am just not that confident and a little risk adverse haha
I have used the Neo a few times at Cannock not on the official trails though but across the roads on all the free trail stuff - its a good platform for that.
Bike Park Wales has been on my bucket list for ages so making it happen next weekend ( sadly missed out on the uplift pass so the Levo Turbo will work for its money haha as will my DJI Powerstation to keep me going I hope )
@LE60LAD Yeah, the blue trail at Cannock is ace, it’s a great warm up for the the reds and has some progressive features. My one overriding memory of the reds, is they’re a tonne of tight switch backs and It gets quite narrow in places, through the forest.
Hopefully you’ll be able to use the Neo to capture some great footage from BPW. Ebikes certainly come into their own for getting more laps in and blasting you up the trails for the fun, down hills!
I wont be talking the drone with me at the bike park as its private land and too many people around same reason I wont not take a drone along any of the established routes at Cannock Chase ( blue / red ) as I think someone may get the hump with me about that.
I will take the drone with me for the drive down - ChatGPT gave me a rather detailed road trip plan for locations from Grey Arrows that were not too far off the route I would be driving so will on the Friday on my way down stop at some of the locations to fly and then on the Sunday maybe do some more locations on the way back if the weather plays ball.
For the riding a mix of meta glasses for POV and an Osmo 360 should get some decent shots
You’d be ok with the avata 360 because you wouldn’t be able to hear them moaning!
@LE60LAD Agreed, finding those quieter trails is preferable for filming on. Between ChatGPT & Grey Arrows/drone scene, you have the resources for scouting places to fly. Yeah, good set up & considering you`ll be able to key frame the 360 footage, it should add some variety to the edit. Fingers crossed the weather behaves it self.
haha I not tried the 360 with active track yet - thing is carrying the controller and she is a big girl for carrying on a bike - Neo just fine - thinking I might sell the Neo and the original Avata I have to get the Neo 2 - MMM will ponder that one.
Good shout on the Neo2 upgrade, it’s certainly a step up in camera quality and features. Neo3 on the horizon, too. I’m gonna hold out, till it gets launched.
