Mountain Bombing

This year I was due to take a trip to Scotland with the sole purpose to FPV dive the biggest steepest mountains I could find. Due to an untimely shattered foot over the summer, plans were put back until 2024! This gives me more time to plan an even more epic roadtrip. I would like location suggestions for any sheer spots to dive bomb if you have them please. Maybe a meet would be possible…I’ll get Redbull on board and bring a burger van.

We did the NC500 a few years back, I can only imagine what drone footage would of been like, I can highly recommend the road trip.

Are you going to be climbing to the tops and then diving them or flying your fpv up first?

Oh, no climbing for me! Just flying up, then blasting down!

Got closer than I ever have done to some serious Scottish landscapes a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately it was with the in-laws (who are neither fat nor American but do live in the U.S.) They were visiting and wanted to see as much as possible So we basically did about 2/3rds of Scotland. In one day. On a bus. :sob:

Did the Trossachs, part of the Cairngorms, Lochs Dochfour, Ness, Oich and Loch Lochy (I’m not making the last one up either). Over 500 miles, 13 frikkin hours on a bus and apart from a 45min boat ride (ie a bus on water) we weren’t off the bus for more than 20mins at any spot.

Glen Coe…. Genuinely, I could have cried. :man_facepalming:

(The comment at 15 seconds in just about sums up my fellow travellers attitude… ‘It’s so great down here’… :disappointed: yeah but it’s a lot more great juuust up there!)

Glen Coe is definitely on my list if I can find a quiet take off spot, some really sheer slopes there!
