Whereabouts in Portsmouth? Somerstown?

This huge painting, the Pompey Pelican, is on the side of Angmering House in Upper Arundel Street, opposite the old post office sorting depot. Painted by Hampshire based muralist, illustrator and designer Curtis Hylton

Bit North of Somerstown.

Don’t go that way often, only when going to the main Commercial Road shopping precinct. It was just there!

The picture is made up of different flowers.

Portsmouth used to have a good skyline with not many tall buildings but the entire area is now full of high rise student accommodation blocks.
Some dimwit councilor said he wanted a skyline like Gotham City.

With planning permission just given to the University to build another block behind Portsmouth Guildhall that will block light onto the main park (Victoria park) I think he will have his way! :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:
